1/3/2014 in Bedford County Tennessee

Cold is the big news today as we only saw a few light flurries yesterday. When I arrived home Thursday Night the Temperature was 23 deg and a windchill of 12 degrees. Needless to say two little doggies were in a shock after being cooped up all day and after all it was 43 deg the last time they went out. Sophie was pounding on the door before I could get my coat off.

It will likely be around 15 degrees when things bottom out early Friday Morning but it's looking like a Sunny Day but Cold and still some what Windy. Saturday on the other hand looks marvelous for early January as we hit mid 40's and still Sunny. By Saturday evening another round of Winter Weather will be rapidly bringing Rain Chances and later on Sunday Snow Chances so we'll be checking that out.

Now this from The NWS

  • Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 31. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
  • Friday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.
  • Saturday Sunny, with a high near 45. South wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Saturday Night A 20 percent chance of rain after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Could be a slick spot here or there this morning depending on where you are. We'll look harder at that Sunday and Monday Forecast and heads up we could see near Zero Low on Monday Night.

Stay Safe
